Liberian Hip-hop/ Afro-beat Artist & Producer MEZONIC celebrates 20 years of recording and producing music by releasing his 9th studio album.
Liberia What's Left 2 (The Quest For International Business Deals) was inspired by his very first album, Liberia What's Left which was released in 2006.
MEZONIC's first album (Liberia What's Left) was released following Liberia's devastating civil wars (1989–2003), which killed up to a quarter of a million people and left the country in ruins. The title refers to the state of the nation and its people as they faced the challenge of rebuilding after decades of war and turmoil.
The album's (Liberia What's Left) themes reflect the challenges of the postwar era, a period marked by the struggle to restore peace, a slow rebuilding of the economy, and the addressing of deep-seated societal trauma.
As a hip-hop artist, MEZONIC used his music to provide commentary on these social and political issues, a common practice in Liberian music and art following the war. He also made songs about his personal war stories and experiences during the Liberian civil war.
Fast forward to 2025, Liberia What's Left 2 (The Quest For International Business Deals) by MEZONIC, marks a different time in the country of Liberia history. Liberia is progressing in respect to the overall development, the economy, education, and so many aspects of governance since the war ended. Many Liberians have become business people in all industries, the government of Liberia is constantly engaging and working with many countries around the world to land foreign investment deals which will benefit the entire country, and the mindset of most Liberians have finally shifted from war to a sense of normalcy and thriving.
Liberia What's Left 2 (The Quest For International Business Deals) by MEZONIC was released to inspire the new generation of Liberians to thrive, think big, travel the world, and last but not the least, invest in all sectors of business in Liberia. This album was made for Liberians to be proud of themselves, especially about their accomplishments, to help each other, and to turn Liberia into one of the best countries in the world.
MEZONIC said, "I am grateful to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with this music gift. I am so thankful to be able to create music at a high level from imagination to actualization. Creating this album was probably the most challenging. I experienced everything from economic hardships, to mental, emotional, and physical health issues, several computers crashes after entire songs were already completed, but my Lord Jesus Christ still made it possible for me to rejoice. I thank God everyday. I hope everyone will enjoy and share this album with their relatives and friends."
